The Challenge
Engineering students and factory trainees lack hands-on platforms to learn advanced Industry 4.0 automation. Universities often teach theoretical computer vision and manufacturing principles, but rarely provide physical equipment to practice integrating AI with mechanical systems. Consequently, graduates enter the workforce unprepared for zero-defect manufacturing. Simultaneously, industrial manufacturers face high training costs and defect risks when upskilling assembly operators directly on live production lines. There is a critical unmet need for a safe, practical training environment that bridges the gap between academic theory and the realities of modern AI-driven factory floors.
The solution
The SDC26 Educational Stand is a physical, risk-free training platform combining real-time YOLOv8 computer vision with mechanical Poka-Yoke (error-proofing) logic. It simulates a smart-assembly workstation where AI monitors manual tasks, detects incorrect components, and provides instant visual feedback to prevent errors. For universities, it is a hands-on laboratory tool to teach AI integration and industrial automation. For manufacturers, it serves as an offline sandbox to safely train assembly operators. By making abstract Industry 4.0 concepts tangible, SDC26 equips students and workers with the practical skills required for modern zero-defect manufacturing.
Mission
To empower students and industrial workers with practical, AI-driven training platforms for zero-defect manufacturing.
